We are witnessing a great change. Report from Think Warszawa 2019

21 September 2019 | EN

On September 17, 2019, the annual Think Warsaw conference organized by IBM Polska took place. Incube was a partner of the events. As an IBM Platinum Partner, we learned how to improve business processes thanks to IBM software, and then achieve market success for the company.

The IBM Think Summit

The IBM Think Summit conference under the slogan “Technology in the service of humanity” was held in a unique place, the Praga Center “Koneser” in Warsaw. The event gathered the world’s best experts from IBM and not only – in the areas of Data&AI, Security and Cloud&Infrastructure. The organizers presented many more completed projects, both during classes on campuses and at conference stands. At the Incube stand, visitors could see e.g. the Qalcwise platform and the innovative no-code application. Qalcwise allows you to create business applications without programming, additionally with the IBM Cloud infrastructure. Our researchers also know how to streamline the budgeting process, optimize production plans, manage orders or obtain data and answers that others cannot see.

IBM in the field of cloud technologies

Think Warsaw was officially opened by Jarosław Szymczuk, General Manager of IBM Polska. He presented the use of IBM in the field of cloud technologies and applications for artificial intelligence and examples of the implementation of these technologies by IBM clients. Guests included Peter Korsten, partner and vice president, Global Leader Thought Leadership & Eminence, and Thomas Anglero, director of innovation at IBM. After their presentation, they encourage participation in a discussion on the future of our society – what is the future? How does technology help in healthcare? How can we use new technologies to protect our planet?

IBM and Red Hat

Think Warsaw users could also learn more about the cooperation between IBM and Red Hat. In July 2019, IBM merged with one of the largest players in the Open Source market. Both companies use over 300,000 employees globally, IBM offers its services in 175 countries around the world and Red Hat is present in 40 countries. Thanks to the acquisition, companies can work on solutions that help customers use business applications on the platform faster.

Think Warsaw is a great celebration not only of technology, but above all of innovative thinking people who make our reality easier. Inspiring lectures, interesting debates, dozens of experts from around the world and additional applications of technology that have changed the company and the entire industry, and even our reality. As Thomas F. Anglero, director of innovation at IBM Norway, said, we are witnessing a big change. The new generation of innovators is not profit oriented, thinks about helping and with the help of artificial intelligence, which boldly implements projects that change the whole world. If you want not only to hear about the latest trends, see what will happen next, but also to participate in this change, be sure to see the next Think Warsaw, on September 16, 2020.
